I love socks

If you know me, you know that two fo my favorite things are socks and undies. You can always find me taking advantage of Targets awesome $1/pair colorful printed socks or any at any place that offers any type of deal on cute underoos. So I completely fell in love when I stumbled upon Strathcona Stockings, a little Etsy shop selling hand painted stockings.

They also have an online store with other options here. I'm in love with all of the prints. I might have to save up and buy a pair sometime soon!

Turbans

I would really like to try wearing a turban this winter as an alternative to the cold weather staple knit hats. These are just so cute!

Fake shopping...that might turn into real shopping

I have the shopping bug BAD. I can't stop perusing online to see all of the different things I would just love to blow my money on. Mostly I've been drooling over some of Forever 21's stuff mainly because it's actually affordable for me right now. They currently have the CUTEST summer dresses!
Not to mention some cool tops as well.
I may have to go hit up the mall tonight.

It's Tuesday. It's rainy. I'm working. I need a nap.

I'm so sleepy right now. I feel like I could just lay my head down on my desk and be sound asleep in seconds. Rainy days always make me tired, and it isn't helping that work is dragging. It's a little upsetting because I really love rain and watching/listening to it fall, but not when I'm stuck at work trying everything to stay awake. I enjoy it much more when I'm home cuddled up in bed sipping tea and watching movies.

I really wish I had a cute little rain coat like this.
or a pair of puddle jumping rain boots.

But, I don't. So I will just have to deal with being tired, cold, and wet.

Internet ramblings

I have recently come to the (somewhat sad) conclusion that I rely on the internet entirely too much. I have blogs I MUST check daily. The majority of my news readings come from cnn.com and Time Magazine online. Social networking is a great "joy" to me and I have become accustomed to daily creep sessions via facebook, myspace, and Twitter. Speaking of Twitter, I tweet up a storm to no one imparticular on the daily. I love online shopping/browsing and could probably spend hours looking at lovely dresses and shoes and accesories that I could die for. Basically anything and everything I do involves logging on to a computer of some sort and simply pressing keys and clicking a mouse. What is the world coming to?

I suppose while on the subject I'll share some of my most favorite and beloved blogs and such because I know you are just ever so anxious to know what I'm reading every morning while I sip on my oj. One of my more recently discovered blogs (within the last 6 months or so) that I absolutely adore is Pacing the Panic Room. Nearly everyday Ryan
writes about his daily adventures in his marriage to his wife Cole
and parenting his adorable children LB and Tessa
Aren't they just the cutest little family ever?! Even better is what initially drew me into reading Pacing the Panic Room was the maternity series Ryan did while his wifey was pregnant for Tessa.
One of my other favorites is The Rockstar Diaries which chronicles the life of Naomi (Taza) and her hubby Josh (husband). They have to be one of the absolute cutest couple I have ever seen ever. I really hope my future husband and I are as cute as them when I become a married gal.
Besides being ridiculously cute with her awesome husband, Naomi also loves photography and posts beautiful pictures often. I love looking at her poloroids and Diana shots! Oh, and did I mention her sense of style is something I completely envy??
One of my favorite places to shop online is, of course, Urban Outfitters. I browse through pages and pages of clothes all the time and make myself sick with shopping fever.
Even more than the love I hold for UO, is ModCloth. They have simply the best and most delightful dresses I have ever seen. My mouth literally salivates and makes me drool as I look at all the things I would L O V E to have hanging in my closet.
This fuels my shopping addiction and kills me when I realize I can't make any purchases until I settle in to paying monthly rent and other such things.
Oh technology.

Urban Outfitters online store is mocking me

I want to, NEED to, buy clothes from Urban. I just got my early fall look book in the mail the other day and I can hardly keep myself from grabbing my credit card out of my purse and purchasing awesome clothes. Really, I need to excercise some self control here. I move out into my apartment in 27 days, I should be buying things to make my apartment cute as can be not to mention saving my money for rent and groceries. Yet I continuously log on to Urban's web site looking through pages of dresses and shoes and booties and tights and jackets and tops and jeans, pining over all of the wonderful options. I'm so pathetic that i have 5 items just sitting in my "shopping cart" should I decide to do something drastic and give in to temptation. I have spending issues. I just need to breathe in, breathe out, and sustain my excitement. Saving = good, spending ridiculous amounts of money on clothes = very bad.

I came, I saw, I purchased

So today on my lunch break at work I decided to look for an Easter dress. Even though I am 19 years ols, and and far past the stage where an actual Easter dress is a necessity, year after year I have the urge to purchase one. The dress makes me feel more bright eyed and bushy tailed, just like I felt all those years when I was little and my mom always got me a fresh new dress to wear. I think there's just something about Easter that exudes spring time, warm weather, blooming flowers, fresh air, and all around goodness. By having a cute little springy dress for Easter Sunday I feel more like it's time for April showers and May flowers, and not so much snow grossness. Anyway, the point is this is my brand new Easter dress that will be here in 2-5 days. :)
