The five songs you would have with you on a desert island and why.
1. Taylor Swift: Our Song. I absolutely love me some Tswift and Our Song is one of my favorite songs by her. The is nothing like singing Taylor Swift at the top of your lungs. I especially love how country the song is, so when I'm belting it out I get this country twain in my voice and like to imagine I'm dating a country boy. If I'm going to be stuck on an island I at least want to be able to sing and dream.
2. Coldplay: Yellow. Coldplay is one of the few bands I can listen to over and over and over again and not get tired of them. Yellow is the first Coldplay song that really made me fall in love with them. And seriously, "Look at the stars, look how they shine for you..." one of my favorite lines in a song.
3. Bon Iver: Skinny Love. Eventually I'll have to sleep on this island and nothing puts me to sleep better than Bon Iver. Their voices are so soothing and magical, every song is like a little lullaby. Skinny Love has long been my favorite Bon Iver songs. The lyrics are nearly heart breaking but the way they're put together and sang are so perfect.
4. Journey: Don't Stop Believing. First of all, who doesn't love this Journey classic? Second of all, I would not stop belieiving I would get myself off of that island haha.
5. Weezer: Island in the Sun. "When you’re on a golden sea, you don’t need no memory. Just a place to call your own as we drift into the zone." A perfect "I'm stuck on this island I bet it's really neat and sunny though so I should enjoy it" song.
