Upon constant self evaluation and reflection I have come to find that I am merely average. I'm not exceptional at any one thing, I don't have a seemingly magnetic personality, I'm simply plain and easily forgettable. My friends are all full of talent and life, it shoots out from every pore of their beings and I can't help but be a little envious towards them. I envy them, I admire them, I respect them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy doing a great deal of things and I love being surrounded by people, but I feel in no way, shape, or form to be anything or anyone outstanding.
My photography is mediocre at best, my writing holds promise but is overlooked by both myself and others, I enjoy performing but no longer have an outlet, people I hang out with tend to shy away from getting to really know me, and there is nothing overtly intriguing about me to the opposite sex. I’m discouraged, stuck, your average Jane, lost in the hype of the world around me.

Katie.
You are anything but average.
You are genuine and sincere, which is not common in today's world.
And you are loyal. Which is also a rare commodity these days.
You are a very talented writer and performer. Find an outlet for both of these. You have so many talents, but talents take time to develop.
Sometimes you don't find your talents until later in life. And talents aren't just the obvious ones like being artistic or athletic or musical. Talents are any of the gifts God gives you. Being charitable, patient, a good listener, loving, loyal, genuine, sincere, friendly, kind, etc are all talents. And they are talents that you possess.
If people don't think you're worth their time, they are not worth your time. At all. Let them fall out of your life as quickly as they pushed you out of theirs.
Don't forget what we've learned. You are a daughter of God, the king of not just the world but the entire universe. You are by divine authority a princess. You're worth so so so much more than a fill in or a back up plan.
I love you so much and am so grateful you are one of my best friends.
I'm so excited for you to come to Idaho!
Love,
Amy
